Second Timeline[]
Croyton is first introduced when he and Viese set up a meeting with Rulac, to discuss the distribution of textiles that are currently only sold in the eastern region of the capital. The Dyurak Guild, that the merchant is a part of, can't handle the distance and would like the Lombardi to take over the delivery.
They also want to take out a loan from the Lombardi bank for the textiles. Croyton is very bold and requests as big of an amount as possible. Croyton swears on his family's name that he will keep everything under control and that they have nothing to worry about.
Rulac accepts their proposal under the condition that Viese fully oversees the business without any mistakes. He and Viese leave to discuss details in Viese's office.
As they are about to walk out, Clerivan stops them and asks them to reconsider and to examine the logistics of this matter. He reminds that there is proper way to conduct business, and that they can't just buy something without properly examining the imported goods. This pisses Viese off and he tells Croyton to not listen to the words of a mere servant.
Rulac agrees with Clerivan and asks Croyton if that is ok with him. He happens to have some samples with him in the capital and promises to bring them with him next time he visits.[1]
